Kazumi Racecar Pig, the latest animated film from David McBride, tells the tale of a little pig who starts out afraid of anything different than what he is used to in his own pig culture.
One night Kazumi crashes his space racecar on an alien planet.
Kazumi must face a completely different environment to get home.
He may just learn that different can be great and make a friend or two along the way.
The film is hand-drawn animation!
Imaginess: How long did it take you to create the animations? (they are made by hand)
David: The film took me two years to create and 5,320 drawings. I did it by hand on paper.

I scanned the drawings into the computer and compiled them in a program called Toon Boom. Then I put the whole film together on Premiere Pro.
The original music was created by Tomo Tam a composer in Osaka Japan and the original song was performed by Yukari Obana. Kazumi is voiced by actress Anna Brisbin and Pablo the tortoise is voiced by actor Jason Marsden.
Imaginess: Were you inspired by Miyazaki?
David: Yes, I love Hayao Miyazaki. He was a very big influence!
